Morgan Delille
apprentice operator
How did you get your start in the industry?
I got my start in construction late and through a lot of effort. As a stay at home mom, I wanted to begin working again, but I didn't want to return to my same dead end job. My boyfriend told me about the trades, and I decided to try my luck with the 49ers. Once I passed my Ramsay test I called everyone under the sun to sponsor me. And I called again...and again. Kraemer took me in, and here I am! And I couldn't be more proud of this position and where I've gotten to thanks to these guys.
What do you love most about your work?
What I love most about what I do is the diversity. One day we're driving pile, the next we're pouring concrete, setting girders, flying forms, and the others I'm running equipment. It's a different game each day and it keeps you on your toes. The people are pretty cool too, I guess.
Who has been a major influence or mentor in your career?
I've got far too many people to thank for where I am; to name only a few would be disrespectful. If any of them read this, regardless of who it is, I have no way to sum up the amount of gratitude I have for you all. You're each amazing individuals and have helped me in more ways than you know. Thank you all for everything.
